Northeastern Resources

All students, including students living off campus, have full access to Northeastern University resources. Below is a list of common NU resources. Health & Safety
  • Disability Resource Center: The DRC strives to provide exemplary service, education, and resources in the work that they do. Their guiding principles are informed by federal law regarding disability and privacy, by the University’s policies on equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and the Student Code of Conduct, and also by the rights and the individual needs of the people who we serve.
  • Northeastern University Police Department: NUPD is a full-service and accredited police agency that comprises patrol and investigative divisions providing 24-hour service. NUPD has developed robust crime-detection and prevention strategies centered on technology and campus community engagement. Their well- trained officers are ready and willing to assist all members of our community.
  • Office of Prevention and Education (OPEN): The Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern provides prevention and education services on the topics of alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, and sexual health. They seek to provide supportive, accessible, and non-judgmental services to students as well as to engage our community on wellness-related topics.
  • Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution: OSCCR aims to engage the Northeastern University community in supporting, understanding, and appreciating the standards for community behavior by promoting accountability for actions, encouraging responsible decision-making, providing a space for self-reflection, and instilling the values of integrity and civility.
  • Office for University Equity and Compliance (Title IX): The (OUEC) leads efforts to maintain the University’s compliance with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to anti-discrimination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Title IX.  The OUEC is responsible for investigating and resolving all complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation at Northeastern, including in the United States or abroad.
  • University Health and Counseling Services:  (UHCS) offers support, information, and response to Mental and Medical Health concerns. Their services include same day routine and urgent medical visits, walk-in mental health assessment and treatment, 24/7 mental health support, follow-up visits as needed for medical and mental health concerns, referral to clinical care resources in the community, immunization compliance, medical leave of absence, and Northeastern University Student Health Plan (NUSHP).
  • WeCare is a support system for students during times of difficulty or challenge. WeCare is a network of administrative offices, university faculty, and staff who are dedicated to helping students address and solve problems so they can reach their full potential. WeCare’s partnership with many programs and departments across the Northeastern campus allows them to work together seamlessly to provide support services for a wide variety of challenges, from interpersonal problems and academic concerns to medical or mental health issues and personal tragedies.
Academic & Financial
  • Student Financial Services: SFS is the university’s resource for all things related to student accounts, billing and payment, financial aid, student employment, tuition, and more.
  • Office of Global Services: The Office of Global Services (OGS) is an active resource to all  international students and scholars from 147 different nations across the world. OGS provides the professional expertise and support to maintain compliance through immigration, academic, and employment experiences—helping you remain a valuable member of the Northeastern community.
  • Global Student Success: GSS aims to provide international and non-native English speaking students with high-quality language, academic, and cultural support and to support faculty and staff with professional development in global understanding and intercultural skills.
  • Network Housing and Relocation: NHR assists students with moving across the Northeastern Global University System. Whether you are moving for co-op, semester-in programs, or attending another NU campus for a program, they can get you connected to housing and students in those locations.
  • Swipe2Care: Swipe2Care is a platform for students to donate their meal swipes to other students that may need them. To access Swipe2Care, go to Husky Card Preferences on the Student Hub and select from the left hand side bar.

 

Off Campus Experiences
  • Alumni Relations  The Office of Alumni Relations is your catalyst to stay in touch with your lifelong Northeastern community, keep learning, access career strategies, engage with thought leaders and idea-generators, and find the resources you need to achieve what’s next.  OAR also operates the Co-op Regional Mentor Program, in which co-ops outside of Boston can sign up to be mentored by an alumnus in that area.
  • Community Service and Civic Engagement: CSCE is a part of Education Innovation in the Office of the Chancellor. The office plays an integral role in meaningfully connecting and engaging students, AmeriCorps members, and staff with communities in Boston and beyond. For students, community engagement offers critical experiential learning opportunities that allow them to understand and have an impact in the world.
  • Northeastern Crossing aims to elevate the voices and visibility of Boston’s neighborhoods, particularly those from Roxbury, Mission Hill, Fenway, and the South End, provide greater access to resources at Northeastern University for Boston residents, and be a platform where Boston residents and the Northeastern University community can convene, interact, and learn from each other.
Campus Life
  • Campus Recreation: Provides sport and fitness services. They encourage an active, healthy lifestyle and enhance a sense of community through their programs and services.
  • Center for Intercultural Engagement: The CIE strives to create and hold a space for all students to explore their intersecting identities, provide opportunities for students, staff and faculty to critically engage across differences, develop trainings and dialogues that build skills and foster a sense of belonging for all.
  • Center for Student Involvement: CSI encourages and facilitates a broad spectrum of educational and social co-curricular opportunities designed to enhance the experiential learning and holistic development of our students. Programs include leadership development, student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and more.  
  • Dolce Center for Advancement of Veterans and Servicemembers CAVS aims to serve our military-related students by providing access to resources, programming, and opportunities that promote a positive Northeastern University experience as well as a successful transition to fulfilling employment and advancement after graduation.
  • LGBTQA Resource Center initiates and sustains programs and services that enrich the holistic development of our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual students, and their allies.
  • Social Justice Resource Center: The SJRC is a hub of innovative, justice-minded thinking, collaboration and action on campus that aspires to contribute to the common good.
Global Experiences & Travel
  • My Travel Plans is the service offered by ISO and WorldAware to track Huskies as they travel for personal or academic purposes.  Filling out My Travel Plans with means of transportation and accommodations will ensure Huskies are sent notifications about the region and ensure the university knows the students’ whereabouts.  To learn more about how to log your travel plans into My Travel Plans, follow these instructions.
  • Northeastern Travel Support Network: Available to all Northeastern University students, staff, and students, the Travel Support Network hosts the university’s new and improved Travel Registry and offers a range of support services, including urgent and emergency medical assistance for travelers outside the US on university travel.  Travelers will find the Travel Support Network to be easy to access and use.
