SOMA Square Apartments and Northeastern University

While this is not official Northeastern University leased housing, Northeastern University acts as the guarantor for the San Francisco apartments that are offered to students in SoMa Square. This means that even if you cannot find roommates or end up having a roommate move out unexpectedly, there’s no need to panic. Northeastern University is responsible for paying the remainder of your rent if you do not have a roommate to pay the entirety of your rent. Essentially, you are only responsible for your own rental payment (for one bed) for the length of your stay.  Northeastern University’s Off Campus Housing and Support Services works with Turnkey Housing Solutions to offer this housing option to students. Given these apartments are not officially leased through Northeastern, you will book your housing arrangements directly through Turnkey Housing Solutions. You are encouraged to visit the SoMa Square Apartment Website to learn more about the resources, accommodations, and amenities provided by Turnkey at SoMa Square Apartments.

The SoMa Square Apartments are nestled in a “hip” community off the beaten path in the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco. Here, you’ll find restored factories and loft spaces with tons of natural light and soaring ceilings, an abundance of local goods and businesses, and waterfront views that can’t be found anywhere else in the city. The SoMa Square Apartments are within walking distance to a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, AT&T Park, countless dining options, Union Square, the San Francisco Bay Waterfront, the SF Museum of Modern Art, and the King St & 2nd St Light Rail (with access to the J, KT, N, and S lines), as well as easy driving access to Highways I-80, I-280, and US-101.

All rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. The apartments are fully furnished with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms either directly attached or nearby the bedroom. Each apartment includes a full kitchen and living room (with a television), and each bedroom includes two regular twinsize beds, two dressers, and two closets. This is housing is offered and utilized by Northeastern students in the Semester in San Francisco program, as well as students on co-op in the San Francisco Bay Area.
